Chocolate layer cake

Our resident chef, Heather, whipped up a chocolate layer cake last night and here is the recipe and photos of the finished product. You WILL want to eat the whole cake.

1 package Devil's Food cake mix

1 package cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon salt

2 cups heavy whipping cream

1/3 cup Chocolate chips, semisweet


Prepare cake according to directions with two 9 inch round pans.

In large bowl, mix sugar, vanilla, salt and cream cheese.

Fold in cream as you mix.

Once cake is cook, cut into layers and stack with icing mixture.

Repeat layers and top with icing mixture and chocolate chips.
